Democratic Youth Foundation (DYF) is a civil society organization, which was established in October 18th, 2008 under the legal license number (578) from Ministry of Social Affairs. DYF is active in Hadramout (AL-Sahel & AL-Wadi ) when it was established and expanded to be a national organization in 2013 in the Republic of Yemen. Moreover, DYF used to be an association before 2013 , but due to the need in the operating area, the trustees committee decided to expand the association to a foundation to expand to a wider area within the Republic of Yemen.
DYF is determined to implement the designed plans and programs from its trustees committee, which goes along with the foundation’s vision, mission, objectives and laws of the Republic of Yemen and in line with all human rights and democracy declarations signed by the Republic of Yemen.
In addition, DYF has expanded its operation from the development sector to the humanitarian sector, due to the need of the current situation in Yemen since March 2014.
DYF Vision:
Aim to create a unique youth generation to develop their prospective communities with the concepts of human rights and democracy and allow the youth to participate fully to provide humanitarian assistance to those in need according to the available funds in WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene and FS (Food Security) .. etc) .
DYF Mission:
We are DYF aim to be the first pioneer foundation to provide effectively the development in social, economic, educational, cultural and political participation through the establishment of the right projects to achieve its foundation’s vision.
DYF Objectives:
1. Raise and Spread the awareness of human rights, democracy concepts.
2. Define the constitutional principles, national and international laws in relation to human rights and democracy.
3. Enhance the role of youth to participate in developing and solving their communities’ issue throughout trainings, workshops and field activities.
4. Enhance the role of women in activities to highlight women’s role in the community.

DYF has proven its capabilities and competencies in implementing projects from $500 to $263.109 in one week implementation period to 24 months implementation period.
